Instead of taking physical molds of your teeth using putty-like materials, a 3D digital scanner creates a detailed, computerized 3D model of your teeth. This process is more comfortable and eliminates the need for messy impressions. Because it is based on 3D digital images, the final fabrication of your clear aligners is incredibly accurate.

After the digital scan is complete, Dr. Forcioli creates your customized treatment plan and begins fabricating your aligners using specialized software to manipulate the 3D model of your teeth to achieve the desired tooth movements. Dr. Forcioli’s advanced Invisalign training enables him to create a customized, snug fit that is comfortable and effective.

A dental 3D printer creates the aligners based on the digital images. The thermoplastic aligners are made in-house and go through a multiple-point quality assurance check before Dr. Forcioli gives them to the patient. Each series of aligners is packaged in a set with instructions for when and how often to switch one set of aligners for the next.
